Music Department

Welcome to the MCI Music Department!

We have a wide range of music courses that you can choose from! Whether you are interested in playing a band instrument, singing in a choir, or playing keyboard (piano), you are in the right place! 

To all of our future Grade 9 Students, we want you to know that we recognize that not all of you have the same level of previous experience. Some of you have never even played an instrument or sung before, and some of you don't even know how to read music. Regardless of your level of experience, your teachers will strive to provide you with the individualized support that you need to be successful and to grow your skills!

 

Course Options

Middlefield Music offers courses at all grade levels, and opportunities for all levels of musician from beginner to advanced. 

Instrumental Music

Instrumental music courses take place during the school day. They are 1.0 credit courses and take place in either your 1st or 2nd semester. 

Keyboard Music (Piano)

Keyboard (Piano) music courses take place during the school day. They are 1.0 credit courses and take place in either your 1st or 2nd semester. 

Vocal Repertoire (Choir)

Vocal Repertoire (Choir) music courses take place outside of the school day. They are 1.0 credit courses and are full year courses (takes place over 1st and 2nd semester)
