Reading
Reading a wide range of novels builds a strong foundation for comprehension and comparison. Students are expected to continue reading throughout the summer to increase fluency in reading and ensure success in English. Students who pre-read books that will be studied are usually able to develop a more sophisticated analysis of the text. The books that are studied (see List under Resources) should be available at the Milliken Mills Library, Markham Library, Chapters bookstore (Hwy 7) and Indigo bookstore (Hwy 7).
